Na veel geplaag, heeft BMW de X1 en al de details daaromtrent onthuld!

En we zullen eerst beginnnen met de kostprijs van de kleinste SUV-telg van de BMW-familie. Vanaf €29.700 heb je al een – weliswaar bijzonder kaal aangeklede – BMW X1 op je oprit staan. Dan moet je het weliswaar stellen met een BMW X1 sDrive 18d. Wie de xDrive28i wil, moet daar €43.600 voor neertellen.

BMW laat weten dat de BMW X1 een sportieve, moderne én vinnige buitenkant heeft. Ook aan de binnenkant zou de BMW X1 het premium-gevoel moeten uitstralen. De gebruikte materialen zijn dan ook van hoge kwaliteit. Bovendien getuigt de vormgeving van bijzonder veel dynamiek. Althans, dat beweert BMW. Als je kijkt naar de foto’s, zie je weliswaar een doorsnee BMW-interieur, maar het is daarom niet per se onaangenaam. Daarenboven is er optioneel een panoramisch dak verkrijgbaar. In de koffer past er standaard 420 liter bagage, maar wanneer je de achterbank neerlegt, kan er gemakkelijk 1.350 liter bagage vervoerd worden.

BMW stelt de volgende motoren ter beschikking: de 18d, de 20d, de 23d en de 28i. De lichtste variant met achterwielaandrijving verbruikt slechts 5,2 liter diesel per 100 km, wat gepaard gaat met een CO2-uitstoot van 136 gram per km. • The elevated seating position, a generous feeling of space, the wide range of storage options and the variable interior offer ideal conditions for enjoying the BMW X1 both in an urban environment and beyond, with agility, spontaneity and versatility of the highest calibre. Three full-sized seats at the rear offer generous space and freedom of movement. The rear-seat backrest is adjustable for angle and folds down in a 40/20/20 split. Luggage compartment capacity may be increased from 420 litres/14.7 cu ft to a maximum of 1,350 litres/47.3 cu ft. An electrically operated Panorama glass roof is available as an option.

• The cutting-edge suspension technology featured in the BMW X1 comprises a double-joint thrust bar or, respectively, an aluminium double-joint tiebar axle at the front and a five-arm rear axle in lightweight steel, high-precision power steering, high-performance brakes, Dynamic Stability Control including Dynamic Traction Control and, as an option, Performance Control acting on the brakes for particularly dynamic driving behaviour.
• The BMW X1 features a special body structure designed from the outset for maximum occupant safety.
